Getting worried now can't wait to go to the breast clinic

Hi all I posted just over a week ago my story is that 5 weeks ago I found a white spot on my nipple I went to the doctors and he said it was a abscess so he gave me a 10 day course of antibiotics I went back when I had finished them as I was still poorly and in a lot of pain he said he didn't think it was the abscess and reffered me to the breast clinic but he forgot to put urgent on it so they sent me a appointment for August so I went back to the doctors and he put me on another course of antibiotics as I was still in pain and had a lump in my arm pit I finish the antibiotics tomorrow but I am still in pain and I've got white stuff coming out of the side of my nipple again and still feel sick and tired and can just about manage to eat one meal a day does this mean that I've still got the infection and I've still not got my appointment through its been 8 days since he referred me thanks for listening I'm just really worried why the infection isn't going away

  • Hello Wolvesgirl

We know that waiting for appointments and results can be a really difficult time. Not knowing what is causing your problem can lead to worrying even more about things.

As you're still experiencing some symptoms and don't yet have your appointment date it would be a good idea to get in touch with your GP. They may want to give you more antibiotics whilst you're waiting to be seen by the Consultant.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. Do let us know when you have some news.

    Best wishes,
