Waiting colon biopsy results

I have been reading all these posts for some weeks now and finally have the courage to post this. I had a colonoscopy at the end of January. I had 2 polyps removed and 2 biopsy's taken. The consultant also found a suspicious solitary colon ulcer. He told me that he had requested the results urgently to go to the original consultant. Now the 23rd Feb and have heard nothing.  I phoned my consultants secretary last Thursday and she said the delay was because my file went to a different consultant who I saw after my colonoscopy. (not related) She told me my results where reported on the 13th Feb and she has now requested my file back but my consultant is away! And still have no news ! I know my case isn't straight forward cause I have also been diagnosed with diverticulitis and I also might have the MYH gene (my daughter has one altered copy) I really feel desperate for my results and don't know what to do now.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been having some investigations. We know that many members here will understand just how difficult it can be waiting for results. 
    If you're still feeling concerned it might be worth contacting the hospital to find out when you are likely to hear some news or have an appointment to discuss the findings with the Consultant. 

    I do hope that you don't have to wait too much longer.

    Hi Jenn

    Thank you. I contacted the consultants secretary today and he's sent my results report to the next MDT meeting which is another week away. So it will mean in total a 5 week wait for results even thou I was told it would take 2 weeks.  I have asked if the consultant could phone me but so far no call. Fingers crossed I will get a call tomorrow.
