Hi, I'm a 28 year old guy and for the last couple of years I have been getting treatment for sinus problems, I was always getting infections and sore throats so I just wanted it fixed, they gave me every pill or spray or drops they had for about 8 months but nothing worked so then referred me to the ENT specialist who took a quick look up my nose and said I had a deviated septum so off I go for the surgery hoping this will be my cure, the surgery was a lot more painful than I had imagined and I had to have these huge packs stuffed up each nostril to catch the blood, they were so full of blood they were swelling up and really hurting my nose, asked a few times to have them removed and was told they dissolved so next day the surgeon comes to visit and she tells me they don't dissolve and if I want them out just blow gently and they slide out but she wanted them kept in longer, the right side was already half out anyway so I blew it out and left the other, when I got home later that day I decided to get rid of it but it wouldn't move and I didn't want to blow too hard after the surgery, eventually it fell to bits that night and I was left picking bits out at a time. After a few days the pain was getting worse and I was sure I had something stuck in my nose so I gave it a fast hard blow and sure enough out comes a chunk of the packing and the pain went away, after a few months I started to get this intense pain in my right cheek 4 or 5 times a day that would last maybe half an hour and was unbearable but seemed to be coming off the 3rd molar on the top right so went to the dentist who did an xray and said there is a "shadow" in your sinus which is pushing onto the nerve so go see your doctor so I had a follow up with ENT anyway and told them, they did a quick scope as far as sinus entry and said nothing to see so wanted a ct scan which I got 2 days later, I was due to see ENT again for results at 6 weeks after but its now 9 weeks after and still no appointments available. In the time since the CT I have had a lump develop on the roof of my mouth on the right side which isn't sore but feels like there is a pressure pushing it into my mouth from above, the gum at the right up to is atleast double the size of the left side but not painful or swollen just very large, I've had about 5 sinus infections and also tonsillitis, the pain in my cheek is still there and I swear my head has changed shape as there are these lumps and bumps appearing and they only come after a severe pain in that area, my glands often swell but the right side is the worst. I've been back to the doc who is trying to push ENT to see me due to these new symptoms. The fact all this stuff is on the right side is what worries me. Has anybody ever had anything like this? I just want to find out what the problem is as I can't get anywhere with ENT.
