Hi wozeywifey
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I was diagnosed with grade 3 idc, her2 positive and er positive last September and worried about the journey ahead. I had 3 cycles of EC, and 3 cycles of docetaxel with herceptin and have just had 2nd of 18 herceptin injections. Had mastectomy, due to a second lump found during MRI,10 days ago and still under the care of the district nurses due to excess fluid in drain.
While it seems quite daunting to have all your treatment before you, I can't believe how quick the time seems to have gone. I personally found the EC part harder as I had I lot of nausea and absolutely hate that feeling, but was more frightened of the docetaxel, that part for me was easier. Everyone has different side effects, some more than others. Herceptin injections so far have been the easiest. Won't know until next week if I need to have radiotherapy, fingers crossed I don't.
Hope everything goes alright for you once you've been given your treatment plan.
Be kind to yourself and listen to your body
