Vaginal Bleeding 6+ Weeks

Hello Guys,

I'm 34 years old and have PCOS. Also overweight. the last 4 years only had max of 3 periods a year.  8 years ago, had abnormal Smear and needed surgery. None of the symptoms I'm having now.

Over the last 6 weeks I have started heavy bleeding, and gradually getting worse. Have been out in Tramsaxtic Acid. Which didn't do anything much, aside from slow it down for a few days.  Have now been prescribed Medroxyprogesterone, to see if that helps. Over the last few days, I have been getting really low pelvic pain, back pain and pain in top of my legs. Also cannot eat and feel full.  (Should add I have had a slight chest infection which doesnt help)

I'm  getting really worried

Has anyone had.something similar?

  • Hey

i have pcos and a high bmi, iv just been diagnosed with simple hyperplasia of the uterus. It's quite common in women with pcos and a high bmi. The treatment is progesterone I'm also on medroxyprogestrone and my bleeding has stopped I'm just waiting to have the mirena coil fitted (that's the preferred treatment method as it's stronger and releases progesterone directly into the womb)

have you been referred to a Gynecologist x
