  • Hi

Sorry to hear your news and so soon after having your baby.

I was diagnosed last August just before my 60th birthday so obviously a lot older than you. Mine is also her2 positive and er positive.  I had 3 rounds of EC chemo and 3 rounds of docetaxel with herceptin. Also will have herceptin injections for 12 months of which I've already had two. Had a mastectomy last Thursday so now recovering. Will find out about radiotherapy at follow up appointment next week.

One piece of advice I would like to give you is don't get yourself worked up about the side effects listed in the information sheets. I did and worried myself to death. Yes I did have some but not all and as others will say, everyone is different.

You will get tired especially with a new baby but be kind to yourself and if your baby is resting make sure you rest too and take all the help that is offered.

Wishing you all the best as you start your journey and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

    Lulu
