Hi, i was wondering if anyone had a fna for inflammation only? Ive had hyper for 5 years diagnosed it went euthyroid during pregnancy 2018. Went slightly high after but has settled again now have within range. I notice a swelling left lobe and the dr sent me for ultra sound i had previous nodule on left lobe in 2017. Ultra sound showed no nodule but unexplained inflammation of the gland. The dr is sending me for a fna tomorrow but i dont understand why? Has anyone had a fna for just inflammation not nodule? 

Sorry for the late post going in the morning and cant understand why.
