Hi Kate,
I just saw you haven't had a reply to your post yet so I thought I'd quickly pop by to welcome you to Cancer Chat :)
I hope life has been going well since you finished your treatment a year and a half ago but our community know how challenging this part of the journey can be at times so if there's anything they can help you with I'm sure they will pop by when they can to offer their support and advice.
If you'd like to chat to others who have had the same diagnosis you can just use the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above to find and join in on their discussions.
Kind regards,

hi kateb77
bit of a odd question but wen you say you've finished your treatment what does that mean as I'm er and pr pos and will have to take tamoxifen for 10 years minimum? thank you charlie x
I mean active treatment. I am taking Anastrozole for 5 years, then I will be on Tamoxifen for another 5 years after that. I mean the hospital treatment. Kate x
thank you for some reason I had abit of a moment of panic, as i haven't started my treatment yet. I had my lumpectomy and sentinel node on friday so awaiting those results before I start my treatment. I hope your ok? what a long journey we have to and I'm only at the beginning x
For me the time has gone really quick! I found the beginning and the chemotherapy the hardest parts x
really? the last month and half have gone really quick and slow at the same time for me I just want it all to be done now results and treatment , are you in remission now and how are you are feeling x
I feel ok. When do you hear your results?
Kate x
that's good news I'm glad your feeling ok :) I've been booked in for the 26th of this month so a nice couple of anxious weeks waiting to see if the margins and lymphs are clear plus to confirm the staging, I'm still awaiting my hers2 as this was borderline but she thinks the ddish will back no later than this friday so aslong as that is negative and the the others are clear then I shouldn't need chemo, providing the oncox comes back ok aswell as I'm only 32 so they said providing all those come back ok I'll just need rads and hormone blockers but I'm having my ovarys removed after treatment aswell x
Hope the margins and lymph nodes come back clear. Hope you prove to be HER2 negative. I had a mastectomy. My tumour was a lobular tumour. I had nodes checked while having the mastectomy. It is a very long wait when you are anxious x
fingers crossed they are, I wasnt offered mastectomy because wen they found mine it appeared to be a small slow growing cancer hopfully this will stay the same when they get the results, your right it's the not knowing what's coming next is the worst x
