Lymphoma help!

My ex husband was told three weeks ago he has lymphoma cancer. He had bloods that day and was told they are good which apparently means he can fight whatever it is! He hasn't been told which type yet as they needed more tests. He had a ct scan two weeks ago and no results yet. He went for a biopsy on Tuesday of last week on the lump in his neck and has been given an apt with a different consultant from the original one who he never met just the assistant and it is 24th Feb! We still have no answers and he is becoming increasingly stressed. He basically sleeps most of the time and is feeling weak. He asked the hospital to fax the ct scan results to his GP last Friday for a phone apt which the hospital agreed to but they didn't do it!!! Is this normal having to wait so long? This has been going on since Nov when he first went to GP then tests in Dec. His appointment with consultant was cancelled in Dec until Jan but was told they'd made a mistake and he went earlier in Jan which was when they told him it was lymphoma. Since then no answers

  • Hi Numberonemum3,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can certainly understand this all must be quite worrying and unsettling. Of course waiting times for appointments and results can vary hugely, but it sounds like the process has been a bit confusing. You could always call the hospital to check on the results, especially as you've been waiting a while and were told they'd be available sooner.

I hope you're able to find out more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
