HPV HELP

Hi, I had cervical cancer 6 years ago and no issues since treatment! I've always had regular HPV tests (every year since diagnosis) and always come up negative. Latest smear was negative for abnormal cells but showed positive for HPV! I've been with same partner for 10 years almost, can it really stay dormant inside one of us for that long undetected? Worried

    Many of our members have asked similar questions about getting a positive HPV result from their cervical screening but I hope these FAQs I've found on Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust website will help answer these and put your mind at ease.
