Gynaecology urgent referal

Hi

i have been sick from work for over two weeks’ following onset of pain after an mri. I have been feeling dizzy, nauseous, bloating, tired, incontinence and left sided pain since november which was put down to my Crohn’s which is usually well controlls.

MRI caused immense pain and i ended in hospital overnight and have started to have occasional blood in urine.

Mri has shown Crohn’s ok but have 7.2cm cyst have had sibe jan 18 but i did not know. Have mirina coil to assist mild endometriosis and cysts. Had 3 years. Still waiting for referal been told by gp today they will do as urgent on monday. How quickly can i expect to be seen as i am really struggling, what can they do?

  • Hi Karen

sorry I can't be much help to you.
I do hope they get to the bottom of all this for you.
I'm kind of going through the same thing at the minute. I was in hospital for three days over Christmas with severe pain, had a ct scan and was sent home saying nothing was found. 2 weeks later I was brought in for a ultrasound scan and was told then that the ct scan showed something so an ultrasound was needed. at this point I was told that I had a 4.7cm cyst, a large ovary and my womb was too thick so needed to be referred to a gynaecologist.
Got my letter with appointment 2 weeks later which I have been to today. Been told that the ultrasound was inconclusive and I now need an MRI scan, my ca125 test was all normal so they are not worried now. the letter I received said they have found a mass and now I'm being told they don't know what they've found. I'm so stressed out with it all and don't know if I'm being taken seriously or not. I just hope that the MRI has some actual results to work with because I'm suffering in pain every day and nobody seems to know what is going on at all.

im sorry I can't offer too much advice but hopefully going off my appointment time I would assume that you should get yours within two weeks. Hope you get some answers and get sorted xx
