New Here - Coping With Loss

Hello,

my father was diagnosed with lung & liver cancer on Saturday 25th Jan after being taken in to a&e early evening having had pneumonia for a month which was not getting better despite 3 courses of antibiotics. This came as a shock to us. He was admitted to hospital and  passed away this morning after rapidly declining each day which the doctors have said took them by surprise, as they did not expect such a rapid decline and I don't know how to cope with the sudden news loss.

My heart is broken and I've never felt pain like this. I don't know what to do.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you feel that you need support or that you are struggling to cope in the coming weeks and months, don't hesitate to go and talk to your GP who will I am sure have some good suggestions for you to help you feel a little bit better during this difficult time.

Sadly many of our members have also been affected by the loss of a loved one and understand exactly what you are going through at the moment. I hope you will hear from others who have been there before and that they will be along soon to share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,
