Hi all.

i am very much hoping someone can help. May of last year I received my routine smear results. CIN3 severe (high grade) dyskaryosis had a colposcopy and underwent treatment to remove the affected area of my cervix. 6 months later - Jan this year I have gone for my test of cure smear to see how everything has settled. Assumed a tick box exercise with no further treatment needed...and then the letter lands. I have a HPV positive reading and some borderline cell changes...back we go for colposcopy round two...

but my issue is this...I am getting married in four weeks...I am trying to remain totally calm that despite Hpv being sexually transmitted it can lay dormant for years...and it's not the kind of thing that would show up on a routing STI test which both my fiancé and I had when we met 3years ago. I have absolutely no reason in this world to believe he would ever cheat on me...but how on earth can I not have tested positive for it 6 months ago and now I do?

please someone tell me this is just be being irrational and overthinking!
