Hi

im 21 years old and for around 6 months i have experienced spotting between periods and occasionally after sex. I went to the doctors and was referred to gynaecology as my GP could see a small red patch which she believed to be a cervical erosion but i havent had a baby or ever been on the pill so im guessing that's unusual? The gynaecologist said i had a healthy looking cervix and didnt take any tests or swops? Should they of taken a swop, cant the red patch indicate something more sinister? Im just scared to leave it till im offered a smear test at 25
