Hi there, so I was hoping to find someone who may have experienced similar pain in left breast to help my anxiety while I wait for referral in 2 weeks.

I saw my gp on Friday as I have been experiencing moderate to severe left breast pain and in rib area. I felt a lump and she confirmed it after breast examination hence referral.

Around 15yrs ago I had a total duct excision and now and again felt pain but lately it is so severe when it flares it feels like something is clamping the nipple and it turns quite dark, it literally brings tears to my eyes, heat pads and massage seem to ease it a bit, but now pain also under breast on rib cage. Could this lump and pain be caused maybe by scar tissue from previous surgery? 

Anyone out there had this? Any replies greatly appreciated, take care everyone xx
