I've been reading the forums for a few weeks now but joined today because of some news I had on monday.
Just before christmas, I had terrible pain in my right side which I went to to doctors for. He thought it could be appendicitis so I was sent to A and E. Long story short it was a kidney stone but theyd also found a mass in/on my kidney (I cant remember what they said)
They sent me a letter to return 2 weeks later for another ct scan with dye. 2 jan I had this (really weird feeling, it honestly feels like you've wet yourself!) Results by telephone on monday were that they still dont know what it is but it's definitely not a normal cyst so now I need an ultrasound.
I was bright and cheery to the nurse on the phone, thanked her for looking after me and cheered that the kidney stone had gone. Managed to ask how long would it take to get an ultrasound apt. She said no longer than 2 weeks. So this is the stage we are at now.
I went back to the doctors last friday (few days before phone results) and said I'm in so much pain in my right side still. He said to take buscopan, ibuprofen and paracetamol (have instructions blah blah) and it's not helping me with the pain.
I just wanted to join the forum to reply to someone on one of their concerns to reassure them but I'd like to tell you my story as I sit and wait for the next steps too.
