• Hi and thanks for your post

It can be worrying when you don't know what may be going on.

It's good though that you have another appointment with the GP, so you can discuss what the next step may be , including a possible referral to a dermatologist. It's common for nail clippings to be also taken, as fungal infections can also present in similar ways.

Regarding the lumps on your shins, it's not possible to say what may be causing these, or whether they may be related ,as further tests or a referral would be necessary.

Try and not worry too much, as there may well be other explanations for these symptoms.

    All the best

I went today and seen the doctor from a few weeks ago she is still saying she doesn't think that it is melanoma under the toenail but that she is referring me but not in the emergency appointment time so the appointment could take upto 2 months or more. I have my nhs podiatrist appointment next week so again I will see what there opinion is of the nails. This doctor said she thinks the lumps on my shins are fatty tissues I will go back in a couple of weeks as the doctor last week said to go back in 3/4 weeks to see what they are like then. I just feel nasueas at times as well which doesn't help me with the worry. I am ever hopeful that it all turns out to be nothing but when you read up on Google which I am now avoiding it doesn't sound good!

    Thank you for your reply.
