Sister diagnosed with brain tumor

My sister is 49.on the 6th of January after a scan a large deep mass was discovered in her brain across both bits of the cerebellum and includes the brain stem. The family and her are utterly in shock and devestated. Lots of scans and test followed it was a, whirlwind of 2 days. They can't remove the whole tumour due to size and location. She's, currently on steroids for the fluid, in hospital waiting for the 9 hour op. At best she'll be bought time she's, been told she could die on the table.

I'm, we're terrified.

  • Hi Paw50,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm so sorry to read about your sister and also sorry you haven't received a reply sooner. I can only imagine how incredibly difficult this must be for you all.

I just wanted to write to say I hope things went OK with the operation, and also to let you know that we're always here on this forum for support whenever you need it. Even if it's just writing things down to get things off your chest.

Wishing you all the best and look after yourself,

    Ben
