Newbie

Hi folks,

Think I was on here about 7yrs ago when I was initially diagnosed with Secondary Breast Cancer.  I had a bilateral mastectomy as there was cancer in both breasts. The treatment I was on has kept this disease stable but 2weeks ago after a routine ct scan I was told a few cells moved to the lymphnodes in my neck.  Not the news I was expecting to hear 2weeks before Christmas. Apparently the Letrozole has stopped working..Im on Zoladex too. Now i'm changed to Fasladex and start a new tablet in New Year when they find out what type of cancer cell it is. Can anyone tell me what side effects Fasladex might give? apart from the obvious sore hip/bottom but I am well padded

I know this was to be an introduction but I've rambled...apologies

    Hi Vanda,

    Welcome to our forum.

I am so sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, after doing so well for the past 7 years. I can only imagine how you are feeling. I took Tamoxifen for the first year after my lumpectomy, but this was changed to Letrozole when I developed a second cancer within a year.

I'm afraid that I don't know anything about Fasladex or its' side effects. Hopefully, someone with experience of this will be along to talk to you soon. You could also contact the nurses on this site and ask them. Their number is 0808 800 4040 and they are available from 9.00am - 5.00pm. this is a Freephone number.

The main thing is to ensure that the Fsladex works for you and, I sincerely hope that it does.

    Kind regards,
    Jolamine xx
