Hi all.

My name is andy and I live in somerset.i have been referred by my doc for a ct scan following a xray as xray showed infection in one lung and lymph node was slightly swollen.i am terrified ots cancer and dont know how I will cope if it is.

    Hello Andy and welcome to our forum, 

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your CT scan. This must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results. 

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you. 

    Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Hi Andy

    I was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, which hopefully you don’t have. I’ve got everything crossed for you. 

    Meanwhile, I am here to vent to and share should you need that support. I find it calming to have some contact others are going through this, although I also wish they weren’t!

    But as you say they said infection and hopefully that’s what it is.

    Thanks for ur reply.i have my scan this Monday and my results appoitment on 7th jan.so at least I will know for sure in 10 days.

    Hi 

    I had xray then ct scan had appointment today hoping for 100 percent yes or no but now I got pat scan and biopsy long road hope you will get results soon and it all goes well I feel like the wait goes on and on for me but put myself in the mind set that it going to be a long long year with plenty of things to worry about so will save the worry for something that needs it so keep chin up and you will find others around you get less stressed too
