Help!! So concerned teen with breast and neck lump

I’m hoping to find some sort of reassurance hopefully

I’m 17 and a year ago when I was 16 I found 2 lumps in my right breast about a cm long and oval shaped can move when pressed. And a few months after finding them I went to my doctor and she said that it might just be a cyst or something.

Im constantly still anxious about them when they now grows to about 2cm but still oval and movable. However 3 weeks ago I found something that feels like a lump in my neck it’s on the left side of my neck and in oval shape but about a cm long and kinda hard. And I’ve once again never been so anxious in my life. Like anyone got any suggestions on what it might be. Like I guess I expect the worst and that’s all I can think about as I’m only 17 I’m so lost

    Hi 12345,

A very warm welcome to our forum. Unfortunately, most of us on this site are cancer pilgrims  or carers and not doctors. This makes it impossible for us to answer your question. You could contact the nurses on this site and, they might be able to help you more.

Have you spoken to your parents about this? It sounds as if this should be your first move.

It also sounds as if you need to go back to see your GP again to find out what she says this time. If you are not happy with her opinion, you can always ask for a second opinion. If she feels that there is anything at all suspicious, she will refer you to a clinic for tests.

One good thing is that you say your breast lumps are moveable. This sounds encouraging, as most cancerous lumps feel fixed.

Instead of worrying about these and doing nothing, please phone your GP and ask the receptionist for an urgent appointment. You can tell her why you need this and, she will probably try to fit you in as soon as possible. This is important, because, if there is anything untoward, the sooner it is diagnosd the better the outcome is likely to be.

Do please come back and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards

    Jolamine xx
