Worried

I have been to see my GP today as I have had a couple of episodes of small spots of blood after intercourse.

GP says that the cervix is inflamed and has prescribed estrogen to help and her comment was I am not worried and will be surprised if they find anything but she has to refer me due to guidelines.I am 55 and have gone through the menopause.

She says that they will just look at the womb and if that is ok they won't do anything else. I am up to date with my smears.

Feeling really worried despite the doctors reassurance as I am naturally a worrier!

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with a health concern recently. It sounds promising that your GP isn't overly worried about things and she is referring you just to make sure all is OK.
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the appointment and the Consultant will be able to give you some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
