End of my tether..

Hi there

Really don't know what to think after having a colonoscopy, ct scan, sigmoidoscopy now an mri.. Everything has come back OK, which is great but very annoying (apart from gall stones), but I've still got bloody mucus stools, stomach cramps, periods of tiredness, pain around belly button especially through the night, can't sleep on either side most nights, nausea, some

times, not all the time, just started with a rash on my chest and floating stools. I feel like I'm cracking up. I had an operation for 3 epigastric hernia repairs about 3 months ago, 5 weeks later I started with the bloody mucus in stools, its been like this ever since. My consultant thought ulcerative colitis after seeing inflammation in my rectum, only to have a sigmoidoscopy a few weeks later to find white nodules of some description that he'd never seen before (biopsies all normal) no sign of the inflammation. He then thought crohns but now the mri has shown nothing. He's now going to look at the pancreas, more blood tests and stool samples. Could anyone at all shed some light my way... So Sorry for the lengthy message. ;)

  • Hello Badger2

I'm sorry to hear that your struggling with some ongoing health problems. It does sound reassuring that all the tests you've had so far haven't brought any concerning results, although obviously not having answers can be frustrating.

I hope that the Consultant is able to get to the cause of the issue and that things improve for you.
    Best wishes,
