Welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear about your lump and the distress that this is causing. if it is of anyconsolation to you, most of us feel like you do at this stage. The wait may be only 4 days, but I'm sure that it seems like forever to you.

I hate to tell you this, but you will probably have another 1-2 weeks to wait before you get any diagnosis. When you attend the clinic the consultant will discuss your symptoms and examine your breasts. S/he will then usually refer you for a mammogram and/or an ultrasound and this will probably be followed by a biopsy. The results of these tests will determine whether or not there is anything untoward there.

It is a particularily hard time to be going through this, when everyone else seems to be getting all buoyed up for Christmas. Try to keep yourself busy to distract yourself from the wait. What family do you have? I hope that they are old enough to be able to support you through this.

Yes my mammogram is on Thursday,  they said I should get the results straight away. I know that I should keep busy,  night time is harder. Roll on Thursday. X
