Nebuliser

Hi, I  have a quick question please - My mother in law had her voice box removed about 10 years ago. She has a valve to press to speak and she does this very well. (Shes 91) SOmeone has suggested she gets a nebuliser to help the build up of mucas stop. WIll this help do you think? We have bought one as our NHS doesn't supply them, but we do have an appointment with her specialist tomorrow.

Looking for any advise or tips really.

Thanks in advance

Mandy

  • Hi Mandy and welcome to the forum.

I just wanted to wish you and your mum all the best for tomorrow and to give you our cancer nurses telephone number in case you wanted to give them a quick call about this before you see the specialist. They can be contacted on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation or have used a nebuliser will share their thoughts and advice with you soon as well.

    Kind regards,
