i've had a few too but don't remember being in pain apart from bloated/windy pain.

Did they send you home with an info sheet about what to do if you had certain symptoms?

Yes they did, but it's still very sore nearly 3 days on, 

Please ring the hospital and let them know - the paper you were given should have advice on it about the number to ring.

It is probably nothing serious, but worth checking out with the experts who have all your information.
