I can see that you're anxious. When you are worried that you may have cancer, I realise it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor.

How are you feeling? Did you have a colonoscopy?  My doctor has told me I have blood in stool so I'm waiting for referral.  Like you I'm looking at my kids and keep crying, I'm thinking the worse and my symptoms have worsened but I think it maybe anxiety kicking in.

Hiya I got mine on 10th December the waiting is the hardest thing.I found just spending time with the kids helps me I found that the anxiety made my symptoms worse to if honest I tried to block it out and enjoy everyday that's what's gotten me by i gave my self a day to cry and think all the bad bits after that I tried so hard to control it I am so scared about the colonoscopy I don't want it to hurt but I have never had one before so I don't know what to expect I am not a brave person but I need to have this done for my family hope you are ok  

It's good you've got it before Christmas though so it's out of the way.  Waiting is definitely the hardest thing.  I started with feeling sick about a month ago but others I knew did so I put it down to a tummy bug, then I got an anxious feeling all the time, sort of like butterflies in tummy or the feeling of nervousness.  I went to doctors and did loads of bloods all came back fine, I did a FIT test and it came back with a microscopic blood on it so my doctor referred me.  I'm only going for consultation on the 18th and then they will decide if I need the colonoscopy.  I think a lot of the problem with me is anxiety and it's crippling me.  When I heard blood in stool it scared the hell out of me.  I've since read it's normal and lots of people have this.  Also I was on my period at the time so that could of made it a false positive. But it's just horrible waiting especially when you have children.  I'm 46 by the way.

Hi everyone, (hoping everyone can see this message) how did you all get on with your colonoscopy. I have one on the 31st as a fit test came back positive. The wait is going to be horrible.
