My dad was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia this week and starts chemotherapy on Monday. We both love walking and are going out for a last walk today before treatment starts which. He is fit and they are going to try the strongest chemo possible for remission. I want to stay positive but want to be realistic too. What are your tips for supporting loved ones going through this? Also, what will he be allowed to take into hospital? We are hoping he can take an i-pad in to watch TV, play games, read Kindle books but not sure if this is hygienic?
