Story so far...

Hey guys

Just want too say hi and share my story so far.

I'm a 33 year old male, average build(would be nice too have a few more kilos)

So it started 2 year ago end of this month, where I had a heart attack in work, retail manager so can be quite stressful this time of year. 95% blockage and 1 stent required. Was given a new lease of life.

12 month ago, had trouble breathing, coughing etc going on for a couple of week, so I goes too the doctors, suspected c o p d.. Referred me for a chest x-ray.

2 days later I get a phone call off the Dr "I think you got diabetes which is more important at the min. So let's sort this first before the c o p d.

So now Im also type 2 diabetic, and the c o p d never mentioned since.

6 weeks ago I started too feel this lump behind my ear, after 2 weeks went too the doctor(moved surgery's by this point) he requested bloods just too come back, about my diabetes. Anyway this lump is getting bigger now last week went back doctors and now I'm scared. It the size of my whole lympth node on side of face, it's hard, very uneven and it's like it's fixed too me, no movement at all. My Dr requested a chest x-ray which I had done last Friday, hopefully get results back tomorrow. Done a little research myself and the signs of c o p d are also symptoms of lung cancer, with the hard lump in the lympth node, being a common symptom of a secondary cancer, which could mean the cancer could off been there years without detection. I've looked and researched but can't find nothing else the lump can be.

I've haven't told loved ones yet, until I get some more answers but it scary on your own thats why I hat too share with you guys.

Thank you for reading

It's understandable given everything that you've been through in the past 2 years that you're feeling concerned about your health at the moment.
I hope that by now you've had the results of your chest x-ray back.

There are many reasons why a lymph node might swell. Unfortunately it's very easy to ask Google and to get many wrong and scary answers. Ultimately the person who will be able to give you answers and reassurance about the possible COPD and raised lymph node will be your Dr so it's positive that you've seen them to get the ball rolling regarding tests.

I do hope that things settle for you soon.

    Best wishes,
