Hi all,  I've been posting on the Prostate UK forum for a while now, keeping folk there informed about how my treatment for Prostate Cancer has been going.  Now I've decided to inflict myself on the wider cancer community as I've also been diagnosed with Anal Cancer, which will mean major invasive surgery for me in the very near future.

I started my blog originally as a diary for my own benefit, but once I'd posted the first few chapters and had some positive feedback, I just kept updating it as various milestones in my treatment came and went.  It's very much my own interpretation of my experience from diagnosis onwards, so mustn't be taken as being in any way medically authoritative!

Although there are inevitably some unpleasant and unhappy passages in the blog, I've tried to keep it as light-hearted as possible so that it hasn't turned into a tedious misery-fest.  Misconceptions and misunderstandings abound, optimism and pessimism share the stage.  If you want to have a look, it starts at https://stewart124.wordpress.com/
