Preventative surgery with implants - any advice post-op?

Hi there

I had surgery a few weeks ago with implants in. Just wondered if anyone has advise post op.
I know it's early days but one side seems to have softened and dropped and the other still quite high and sore. I'm fearful of getting capsular contracture.
it's not hard but should I be worried or is it just early days? I'm seeing my surgeon for a follow up in 5 days

thanks :)

  • Hello SenoritaV,

Welcome to our forum. I hope you are recovering well from your surgery and that you are not in too much pain despite the issues you have mentioned. I think it would be a good idea when you see your surgeon in a few days to bring this up and ask whether this is normal and to be expected. Do mention your fears of getting capsular contracture. Obviously if things get worse before your appointment or you feel you would like to get this checked earlier, don't hesitate to get in touch with your doctor or to ring 111 over the weekend.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if you wanted their guidance on this - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope that you will hear from others here who have had a similar experience and that they will be along shortly to share it with you.

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

    Best wishes,
