  • Hi Billy,

Mines predominantly left lung pleura but also some bone and heart and lymph I believe. At weird limbo where we know it’s the end soon but I can’t work out if days or weeks and I have no quality of life. Just so anxious all the time.

  • Hi there Rebecca...

So so sorry your in that stage, where it must feel so scary and my heart goes out to you .. I've just read a few of your answers and know your finding everything really hard at the mo ...

I'm so glad you've got family around you .. so many have no one .. and although that's really good, it doesn't ease your pain at the mo ... I wish I could make things more bearable for you .. but all I can do is say, you can come on here and chat or vent or put down those feelings that's hard to do with loved ones .

I know you've said your more or less bed bound now .. that must be really hard as I know how I feel not being able just to walk now without pain .. but making the most of those times I have to have P.J days .. this site has been a life line and there's some wonderful people on here ..

I hope you get your pain under control .. and help with going to the loo ... wer here if you want to chat .. sending you a vertual hug...  Chrissie

  • Hello Rebecca_S,

A warm welcome to Cancer Chat and I am pleased to see some of our lovely members have already come to say hello.

I just wanted to let you know as you had accidentally posted your story as a reply to an older thread and it may therefore get missed, I have now branched it so that it stands as its own thread here along with Dave's reply. This will hopefully give it greater visibility and I hope our members will read your moving story and write to you soon with their suggestions.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 and their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. It might do you some good to talk to them they are lovely and you can ask them anything that is on your mind.

    We're all there for you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Chrissie

Thank you for responding to me. The mobility is more that I feel increasingly shaky and unsteady if I try to use my frame so I guess I need to work out the logistics for my daily bed sore dressing change and cleans as well as getting from a to b. I have a commode with a cushion on top which my husband can wheel me in but I feel unsteady in that too so we are asking about wheelchairs today. And I’m still working out how this site works - I keep losing my posts and my responses!

  • Hi Rebecca I've put this on both strings so hopefully [@marj58]‍ will reply she might have some ideas.. Billy

  • Hi there ..

I know your in a hard place right now .. but there's lots of us stuck at home, with mobility issues .. so comming on here, gives us something positive to do .. plus we learn there's others in the same boat .. or with other big problems .. but wer all just trying to hold each other up ...

So I know it takes time to work out the way things go on here .. I had to get someone to sort my pad out .. and that made it so much easier .. as I am deff not good at anything technical.. so hold on in there .. are they going to sort your pain out ...  thats a huge thing ..  i have a lot of mobility issues so i know how hard that is ... send you a vertual hug... Chrissie
