Concerned - years of ongoing stomach issues

Hi

I'm just looking for some advice and thought I'd post to see if anyone has had similar experience/symptoms.
I've had stomach "issues" for 8 years now, started when I went to uni and the doctor advised it was IBS due to stress. So I dealt with it.. later on found I had an sensitivity to gluten, with bread and pasta in particular.

Ive has various symptoms over the years and at several points have really pushed for answers with doctors and the hospital.

In 2016 I went through a lot of tests inc White blood count, colonoscopys, endoscopys etc. But nothing solid came back from it so I gave up.

I've been toying with the idea of going back to the doctor but always put it off cos I feel like it could be a waste of time.

My symptoms have always stayed the same; dirrahera, constipation, severe cramps, bloating, bright red blood with stool, blood clots with stool, nausea and feeling exhausted/faint after passing stools.

I also get what I call popping in my stomach, I explained this to the doctor and he had no idea what I was on about. But it's like popcorn is popping in your stomach.. anyone else experience this?

Anyone had similar symptoms to me and been diagnosed? I know everyone's completely different though!

  • I'm sorry to read about your on-going stomach issues BR5, it must be very frustrating and difficult to live with.

Is there more than one doctor at your GP surgery? If so, you could try seeing a different doctor to get a second opinion.

Whatever you do, don't give up BR5 as you deserve some answers and to find out what is causing your symptoms.

    Kind regards,
