You did the right thing to go and see the doctor to get the lump checked out. It is reassuring that the doctor said it is likely to be just a cyst and it's good though that they are being thorough and referring you to have an ultrasound scan. I hope you won't need to wait long to have the ultrasound. If you can try not to do too much online research: unfortunately as everyone here will tell you looking things up online will inevitably bring the worst case scenarios and make you worry unnecessarily. Dr Google certainly isn't to be trusted! The best thing to do in this situation is to keep busy and distracted while waiting for the scan and try not to panic if you can. It won't be long now before you get some definite answers and I am keeping everything crossed that everything turns out to be fine. 

I hope you will meet some of our other members who have had a similar experience and that they will come and share their story with you.

Thanks for the reply and reading my post. 

I will defo keep you updated in this thread and your right but can't help but feel the doc just gives you the best case scenario to keep you positive and stop you worrying.
