Husband having tests......petrified

Hi there

my husband is 39, fit and in good health, no history of any cancer in family but he has found a lump in his left breast just under nipple. We went to doctors who put the fear of god in us and referred him for ultrasound a week tomorrow. The wait is killing us all we can think is the worse.

my husband went to our local A&E and the doctor there said could be lipoma whic would be wonderful but we can't help worrying! Roll on next week!

just wondered if anyone else had been through similar.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. Sorry to read about your worries at the moment - it's of course perfectly natural to feel this way when there is this uncertainty and waiting for more information.

    The ultrasound will provide some answers for you and in the meantime try not to worry too much until you know more - I know this is easier said than done. It is good that he has been referred as it should mean you get some clear answers soon.

    I hope it's not too much longer to wait for the results.
