ENT appointment

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could offer any advice. I was referred by my GP to ENT as I have swollen lymph nodes in both sides of my neck. I had my appointment there today and after ultrasound the was told the nodes just looked reactive. However the consultant did a nasendoscopy (I hope that's the correct name) were she put a camera up my nose. She said she could see a red swollen mass, were the nasal cavity ended and the throat began I think. She has sent me for an urgent MRI with dye, which she said could lead to a biopsy and then a follow up consultant appointment. Does anyone have any experience with something like this or any idea what it could be? I should also say I don't have tonsils so I know it cannot be them. Thanks.

  • Unfortunately no-one here can say what this may be but we can offer our support and advice which I'm sure some of our members will do once they come across your post. I hope your MRI with dye goes well and the biopsy if you need to have one as well.

We'll have our fingers crossed for good news Mumofboys30.

    Kind regards,
