Welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear about your lump. Has your bra maybe been rubbing against this part of your breast? If not, I suggest that you see your GP as soon as you can. Breast lumps come in all shapes and sizes, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.
If you tell the receptionist why you need an urgent appointment, they will usually oblige. If your GP is at all unsure, s/he will refer you to the breast clinic. Even if you are referred not all lumps turn out to be cancer. Only about 1 person in 8 referred are unlucky.
