My Father's Terminal Diagnosis

Hi, I live in England south Yorkshire and my father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer which has spread to his bones and lymph nodes. We have just discovered that it is terminal and they have estimated that he will live for only 2/3 years now. I am wondering whether anyone who has been through or is going through the same thing with years to live can give me a little insight into their experience? As some say that he may live longer. And as I am 23 is there anyone else in the same situation losing a parent at a young age? It would be good to speak to people over their experiences.

  • Hi Amy

Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's diagnosis.

Has your Dad been offered any treatment or management for his prostate cancer? I'm going to tag in [@Billygoat]‍ to this post as I know Billy has been living with what he calls his "uninvited guest" for a number of years now. I'm sure that he'll be happy to share his advice and experiences with you.

    Best wishes,
