If you search this forum for 'subungal' you will find a couple of recent threads where quite a few people have been or are currently going through the same worry as yourself. Some of those have received the all clear so hopefully your results will come back clear. If the results are positive for melanoma, don't panic. Treatments are getting better and are showing encouraging success. One of the patients on here, RickyB, gives good advice which will help youwww.cancerresearchuk.org/.../subungual-melanoma-1 .

The waiting is the hardest part now so keep yourself busy & distracted. Don't Google unless it's websites like CRUk, macmillan, British Association of Dermatologists etc. I hope you aren't waiting too long for the results & that they bring you good news,

i hope that your biopsy went as well as it could have and that you have clear results. I know how awful the wait is. 

i had a biopsy of a toenail on Thursday and am waiting for results. I have never experienced such extreme levels of stress and misery. I have two young children and my head keeps on going to worst case scenario.

I had mine done on Tuesday. The consultant said it is a very rare form of melanoma and in the 20 years he has been doing these sort of biopsies none of them have been melanoma. It's just the word Melanoma that has put me in panic. 

I really pray for us both that the results come back clear.

Did they say to you it would be a 4 week wait aswell?
