Not dumb at all! Following my biopsy they sent it to the lab, I had the results in less than 2 weeks and an appt within 4 weeks to return for the loop to remove cells, they seem confident I won't be called back but will send the results and told me to expect a letter in 6 mth to go for another smear at the GP, if all well it will go back to 3 yrs. It's all changed, I had this procedure over 10 yrs ago and had to return every 12 mths for 10 years, finally finished that cycle and back to square one!

i can only guess that the tiny piece they remove will be incinerated after testing?
