Odd lumps in neck

Hi,

I don't usually post here but I'm in a bit of a heap and I'm probably just anxious over nothing but a second opinion would really help or if others has experienced something similar

im a young female early twenties and about six months ago was having really bad joint and bone pain, numerous trips etc to the docs and bloods xrays etc all "within a satisfactory range", referred to rheumatologist and with no physical exam or extra bloods etc told me I had arthritis, big shock as I'm a fit and active young person and had no indicators of arthritis. I started on an injection called Cimzia which can increase your risk of lymphoma and as it's affecting your immune system I'm more vulnerable to infections and viruses.

now here's when I begin to worry, since starting about three months ago, I've developed two quiet different lumps in my neck, one a teardrop shaped large but moveable and a much smaller odd shaped lump not as moveable but still has a little give. I've also since lost a lot of weight I'm down to seven stone, have little to no appetite, extremely bad headaches and a constant sort of wheezing but I'm asthmatic so it's not as bad as I can be used to. I'm itchy all over as well and just constantly tired, it's affecting my work but unfortunately I can't come off the injection yet.

have repeated blood works etc and all normal. I'm still quite concerned about the lumps have them little over a month now with no pain etc but I'm just finding it hard to convey to a doctor my worries.

is this something I should be concerned about or should I just take it as side effects from the new medication and hope it sorts itself out? I'm just frustrated and tired of going to doctors to be honest.

thanks.

  • Hello lovely

I have no experience in this area, I've found a lump in my breat and anxious since my doc said it could be cancer. I would go to docs and not dismiss it as side effects. Better get checked lovely , could be nothing bit worth a quick visit an did if not happy with opinion , get a second.

Hope you feel better soon  , tell the docs about all symptoms and dont play it down , worth getting checked . Xxx
