Anagrelide

I was diagnosed with ET 17 yrs ago and have been taking anagrelide for as long. I have to take a beta-blocker every day to prevent the awful palpitations I get after taking tabs. I will be 60 next year and wonder whether it is safe to take anagrelide indefinately?

    The best person to talk to about your concerns would be the prescribing physician - either Consultant or GP. They will have the best overview of your general health and be able to answer your questions about the long term impact of the drugs that you're taking.
