I have recently had a period for 14days after a 3 year break, I am 56 and have just done the bowel screening test and have now to go for colonoscopy as there was blood in it, can anyone help ?

Went to my docs last week with symptoms bloods done came back iron deficient found hard lump feels like it's podruding through the wall of rectum on right side I only went because I suffer with bowel inpaction and loose blood she said she didn't know what it was then she ordered a colonoscopy and mentioned cancer so I have this on Tuesday at my local hospital I haven't worried about it has if anything is found they will do a biopsy there and then I'd advice not to google anything has it will mess with your head stay possative I wish you all the best on your colonoscopy keep us updated x
