Lump

Hi I’m hoping someone can give me some advice.

A good couple of months ago I found a lump in my right breast , quite far down the front. I’m nearly 28. I stupidly ignored it, :|:|monitored it through my last couple of periods but it’s still there. I made a GP appointment well over a week ago but can’t be seen until next week. The lump had changed and it almost feels as if it’s now 2 smaller lumps side by side. I’m really worried the GP will just turn me away or is there a chance i’ll Get referred on?

  • Hi ET92,

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad that you've booked an appointment to see your Gp; you've done the right thing.

They are the best person to assess the lump and refer you if they feel it's appropriate. If you are referred to your local breast clinic don't worry. It's natural for people to fear the worst but the majority of people who attend to see a specialist aren't diagnosed with cancer.

Hopefully within a few weeks you'll have some reassuring news but do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
