When I clicked on the link it took me to information about a colonoscopy, which isn’t what you’re having. The colposcopy is a detailed examination of your cervix, where they will look for any abnormal areas and may do a biopsy there and then. I had 2 biopsies there and didn’t feel them. Luckily I didn’t know I was having this until I attended my appointment so I didn’t have time to worry about it at that point! I know its hard not to worry or be scared...I’ve been there, but if they find something they want to biopsy, you are not likely to have to wait long for your results and then you can get on with dealing with whatever it is. 

There can be lots or reasons for cervical abnormalities, not necessarily cancer, so my advice would be not to google, and try not to worry until there’s actually something to worry about-easier said than done, I know. If you need any help or have any questions, please feel free to ask. xx
