Stopping chemo

Hi all i had my 4th chemo session last Thurs and im struggling big time with it . Diffrrent drugs this time  and side effects worse been in my bed since Sunday i really dont want to face treatments 5 and 6. Ive still surgery to get then radiotherapy. Has anyone on here stopped their chemo and what was the outcome i know ill need to speak to my Oncologist but i font want to continue the chemo feeling miserable and unwell all the time

    im sorry to hear you re struggling with chemo. It sounds like your treatment plan is similar to mine. Chemo, mastectomy then radiotherapy.

    I’ve had my 6th chemo today. The first three I coped with really well, my last three i’ve struggled with and dreaded each one. Was admitted to hospital on 4 and 5, and expecting the same to happen this time. And it’s taken me longer to recover with the last lot as well. But I just think it’s temporary and it will give me my life back.

    Its obviously something to talk over with your oncologist but mine said that it’s much better to do the full course, and I have had a significant response to the chemo, awaiting results of an MRI scan to confirm this is the case.

    Hi I've just done my third chemo, know how you feel. I was asking myself the very same question. 

    For me it's the nausia, even the thot of taking the anti sickness drugs makes me feel worse, so I haven't taken any this time, has made no difference,. 

    I know I won't stop but the thot is there. Good luck for whatever road you take, we got this girl.
