Dermoid cyst

Hi

I have just been diagnosed with a dermoid cyst on the right ovary, the gynecologist said it measures to about half a grape.

However I have had period like pain on both sides for about 2 weeks, is this normal or could this be unrelated to the cyst?

Does it have to be removed?

Hi Mar55,
There's no way of knowing without going back to your gynecologist about these pains, as you might need further checks on the cyst.
