After surviving breast cancer in 2012 all clear given in September 2017, only quite by accident found a 4 cms tumour on my single kidney in October. Very limited treatment, had just one treatment of Chyro Ablation, the following year in July by this time the tumour had increased in size, not really suitable for the treatment but my only option. Consequently side of kidney cut, two days later emergency surgery to put a stent in to stop bleeding. Having fibromyalgia/CFS took sometime to recover eventually discharged home. Again luck not on my side, after two weeks at home rushed into my local hospital with sepsis for second time that year. Have never been well since, and worried sick as having another CAT scan with contrast on 4th Sept as Rheumatology Consultant looked at my last scan in April this year, only given antibiotics for an infection and not followed up, to find it showed I have reactive lymphadenopathy and markers from a blood test, which I can make no sense of what they mean. I'm so worried as have had a persistent cough now for months and unable to even dress and wash myself. Being out of breath just walking 4 metres to my stairlift. I've so quickly lost so much weight going from a size 12 to try and find a size 8 that's not too big. My 34DD bras are no good as now left with wrinkled implant and nothing resembling a breast on my left. So frightened, at least I've got an urgent referral to see a respiratory consultant on the 11th so I'm sure he will have the result of my scan. Does anyone know anything about what I may have, just Praying it's not another cancer?

  • Hi Saldav,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It certainly sounds like you've been through a lot over the last few years.

I'm not able to help with your question and unfortunately no one here really is, only your medical team. I'm glad you don't have too much longer to wait for the scan and then the results.

Do let us know how you get on, if you would like to of course. You will find that this is a very supportive community of people here on this forum, so do feel free to use it as a safe space to talk through any worries or concerns you have.

    Wishing you all the best,
