Hi guys, I have recently signed up because this forum comes up alot in my recent questions I've asked Google so I'm wondering what peoples experience is..
I originally had a lower back pain a few days before my period beginning of July. Figured it was normal average bad pain that will go away in a week or so when my period is over. Cut forward to 2 weeks and the pain is getting worse that I cant do normally activities especially at work but simple things like walking the dog or standing washing up was and still is a nightmare.
So I sign off from work with a doctors note (what she thinks is a bad back) so I can rest it, by this time it's a month in. I thought I'd go back to work on restricted hours to help ease myself in, thought the moving round would do be better so my life goes back to normality. 3 days in and I'm back to square 1 and minus 20 steps back. At this point I cannot work out where the pain is coming from. The only way I could describe to the doctor is like I've got a tyre round my middle sitting on my hips. The pain is unbearable, to walk is an emotional painful struggle and feels someone is punching and pulling the right side just above my vagina.
So this point I'm off work again, but as the doctors only tell me it's a muscular back problem I know theres more. I've never had hip and pelvic pain so bad. I end up booking a private Chiropractor appointment. He examines me. During which explains he thinks I've got a few problems going on. One being he thinks I've got an ovarvian cyst. As my back is being worked on (for which wasnt just a muscular problem but a disk and twisted right hip problem) its come apparent there was more pain in my hips and pelvic area than my back, I just couldn't pinpoint where as I say it was like a tyre around my lower half.
When I eat, even just a small amount ( i am overweight ) I am extremely bloated like I've just eaten a roast dinner for 2. The pain down my left side of my groin goes from stabbing pains and if I'm bent over, it pulls. I'm constantly in pain but doctors wont prescribe me anything and have put me on an ultrasound waiting list. Im worried how long this list will be. I cant manage the pain with just inflammatories.
I'm tired, emotional and falling apart. I realise this probably isn't cancer related and your wondering why I'm posting on here. I'm human and actually, I've never had a smear test at the age of 29. So naturally and dramatically I'm thinking what if it is something more?
During this time I did go to the Shaw clinic and have STI testing done to make sure perhaps I'd contracted something but these came back clear.
So I guess my question after all that is, it's not far off 3 months I've had this pain. Has someone been through similar symptoms to me and how was it sorted? What was the process? Did you have it removed? Did the pain suddenly go away? What was your experience?
I'm tempted to go private for scans for piece of mind sooner.
P.s sorry this is so long..I usually suffer in silence and hadnt been to the doctor for 6 years prior to this stint.
