Colonoscopy is negative but still suffering bleeding

Hi I have had two lots of colonoscopy and both have come back clear.

The first time was clear and was told the bleeding from the bottom was IBS sympto and was completely normal.

Two years later, still having bleeding episodes to the point it was happening every other day. I took photos as it was in the pan. I was given blood tests and then put on iron tablets as I have a iron deficiency and insulin to help my diabetes, haven't had another episode since july 19, had another colonoscopy and came back clear, they have now suggested it's because am anemic.

I know I should be happy that the tests were clear but I cant understand were the blood is coming from. In fact I know if it is to happen again I will probably ignore it as the test are normal. When I do have an episode I have burning sensations in my stomach, feel sick, dizzy, headache and pains in my stomach. I am now losing weight but that because I am trying too.

Any advice would be great as I just want to know why this keeps happening

  • Hi Michelle, I hope this message finds you well. I have been going through same things as you & still undergoing investigation. How are you getting on today? Did you ever receive an explanation for the bleeding? Looking forward to hearing from you x
